Dark Shoegaze - Heavy Cold Wave

Das Kölner Duo SUIR kreiert einen verhallten Shoegaze und eine cineastische, atmosphärische Musik, die sich durch dichte und komplexe Soundwände auszeichnet. Dieser satte, samtige Sound bewegt sich ständig zwischen Post Punk, Dark Shoegaze, Heavy Cold Wave und Psych, aber aufgrund ihrer eigenen Soundkreationen lässt sich keines dieser Genres eindeutig zuordnen. Ihre Liveshows erzeugen ein kraftvolles und atmosphärisches Gefühl, als würde man aus einem dunklen und intensiven Traum erwachen. SUIR tourten von Ost- bis Westeuropa, traten als Headliner oder Support-Act auf und spielten auf großen Festivals wie dem Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT), dem NCN-Festival und dem Owls ́n ́ Bats Festival. Das Duo veröffentlichte zwei komplette Alben, "Ater" und "Soma" bei Black Verb Records und Manic Depression Records (Vinyl, CD, Tape). 2021 schufen sie "Studio Session", eine Live-Session-Aufnahme in SUIRs Diskografie, die am 1. April von Wave Tension Records (Vinyl, CD, Tape) veröffentlicht wurde. Ihr drittes Album "Not all of your pain is self chosen" wird am 14. Founded in 2022, the music can be attributed to a mixture of synth-pop, dark-wave, and electronic music with a touch of 80ies sound. Fascinated by the beauty of nature, the aesthetics of city darkness, the Bavarian Forest at night and the great emotions of people interactions, a cinematic music construct is built. A mélange of the joy of Joy Division, the poems of Patti Smith, the bleakness of Black Metal and the guitar sounds of 80s and 90s pop/punk influences the danceable dynamic sound of desire and reality
